ROLE PURPOSE


Supporting the wellbeing of residents across QME Care, spending time together either 1-1 or in small groups to enrich the lives of our residents.

Including accompanying residents to engage in local community activities.


You will work alongside the wellbeing team, to ensure all residents are able to engage in social activities, whether this be 1-1 or in groups.


MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To support residents who benefit from one to one support and activities.
  • Supporting specifically residents who have less interaction with others in larger social groups.
  • Assist with the planning and facilitation of monthly themed weeks and seasonal events.
  • Maintain full and accurate records using the relevant systems and documentation, to monitor, record and evaluate individual and group participation and its success.
  • To attend internal team and other meetings as required, such as the wellbeing team meeting.
  • Must be willing to work flexibly including evenings and weekends.
  • Ensure that confidentiality is maintained at all times and operate within all policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • Experience in the field of Older Adults, Mental Health and/or Dementia is ideal.
  • Ability to work flexibly, adapting to the needs and issues of residents.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with residents though nonverbal methods.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including active listening skills; able to communicate with a diverse range of people and organisations
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Highly organised and selfmotivated.
  • To be a team player with the ability to use own initiative. Including taking ownership of own workload.

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 15 per week

Salary:
£10.31-£10.73 per hour
