The Counties Crematorium was opened and dedicated in July 1939 by the Lord Bishop of Peterborough. We are here to help you with whatever you would like for the funeral service. Our dedicated and caring staff treat every family with dignity and respect. At the service we will be there to help you every step of the way.
The Counties Crematorium is looking for a compassionate, dedicated individual to join our team as a Memorial Consultant.

What Will I Be Doing as A Memorial Consultant?


As a Memorial Consultant, you will ensure that all memorial enquiries and potential memorial requirements are handled to the highest standards of professionalism.


Other duties will include:

  • Answer the telephone, dealing with memorial and Funeral Director's enquiries
  • Meet with clients both during office hours to discuss their memorial requirements
  • Arrange memorial orders, always ensuring that the client is well advised, informed of all options and accurately advised of costs by adhering to the company's policies and business objectives.
  • If required, accompany the client to visit the completed memorials.
  • Carry out administrative tasks relating to the processing of memorial agreements ensuring compliance with crematorium regulations
  • Communicate with the administration staff to ensure that they have the appropriate documentation and are aware of any further enquiries or orders
  • Maintaining and inputting accurate cremation records

What Do I Need?

  • A passion for client/Customer service
  • Calm under pressure
  • Good administration skills.
  • Proactive approach and willingness to communicate effectively with a range of people.
  • Ability to successfully multitask and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail are essential
  • Experience using Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Presentable at all times, acting with professional conduct and showing empathy.

Advantageous:

  • Previous experience in the industry, though this is not required, as full training will be provided.
