Job Summary
An opportunity has opened up to work in a dynamic, innovative, and friendly team at Wirral Community NHS Foundation Trust's Community Intermediate Care Centre as a rotational Band 5 Occupational Therapist.
You will be part of the weekend rota to meet service requirements.
Main Duties of the Job
We seek an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Occupational Therapist to join our busy, proactive services within our Discharge to Assess Service.
The role includes conducting comprehensive assessments for patients with various physical and mental health conditions, addressing complex social issues, implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with our experienced MDTs. You will also need to communicate effectively, prioritize a caseload of complex patients, and have good time management skills. This role is ideal for an Occupational Therapist looking to enhance their skills and knowledge in a supportive setting.

Job Responsibilities
Current HCPC registration with the relevant therapy qualification is essential. Travel is a key aspect of this role, requiring access to a car for work purposes. Appointment is subject to a successful interview, references, DBS clearance, and Occupational Health checks.
Qualifications
Essential
- Occupational Therapy degree or equivalent qualification
- Registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC) as an Occupational Therapist
Desirable
- Postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience, Fieldwork educator qualification
Experience and Knowledge

- Three years of diverse occupational therapy experience across various settings and procedures
- Demonstrated understanding of local and national criteria, acts, and agendas
