The Opportunity

As the Digital Safety & Fraud Lead Officer you work within the community safety team to understanding of the risks, harms, and threats posed by online offending and fraudulent crimes to the community.


As the Digital Safety & Fraud Lead Officer, you'll champion safeguarding for those who are at risk of being overlooked; and encourage everyone to recognise their role in making safeguarding personal and join the dots between strategic agendas.


You will work closely with the local communities and partners to raise awareness and support the reduction of instances of online crime and fraud offences in West Sussex.


About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about working with the local community to safeguard their online actions.

Alongside a customer-focussed approach, you will be able to confidently work with a variety of web technologies. You will need a blend of content management and technical skills.

  • Have a technically orientated in approach and ability, and able to progress related online safety plans and initiatives with team members.
  • Have an attention to detail and consistently develop digital safety measures.
  • Willing to challenge existing practices, identify and deliver creative and innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build credible relationships to secure and develop partnership working.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and make sound pragmatic problemsolving decisions and adapt to changing situations.
  • Ability to develop training resources and guidance that changes practice and behaviours.
