Every 30 minutes someone is diagnosed with cancer in Wales, that 20,000 people each year.

We are a charity that understands what it is to live with cancer and how it affects families and friends too.

We bring information, advice, practical and emotional support so people can take back some control of their lives and live as well as possible with cancer.

We're Wales' leading cancer charity and our aim is to champion the needs of people affected by cancer to drive the changes that make a real difference, not just now, but for future generations.

Join Us

This is a great opportunity if you've already got experience as an Office or Admin Assistant and are looking to be part of something rewarding and do work that means something.

And, if you want to work in Cardiff City Centre for a fab cancer charity and join a friendly team we're keeping a seat warm for you.

In fact, a recent online staff review said that we've.
- "Committed and passionate staff who get their role and take real pride in their achievement... Wonderful emphasis on making sure that staff and volunteers are valued"._

Our centralised admin team is a hive of activity and the hub that keeps things running smoothly across all areas of Tenovus Cancer Care.

They support our business functions from fundraising to finance, support services to HR, retail and marketing.

So, it's the part of the Charity that keeps us organised and efficient so we're working like a well-oiled machine when it comes to business effectiveness.

What's it all about?
You'll be joining a team of around 5 administrators who are based in the office and remotely.

You'll be doing things like computer and data entry work, answering the phone, dealing with post and operating our door entry system.

Obviously, that means you're friendly and welcoming to everyone who visits and calls US and you enjoy doing a varied and busy job.

You might be talking to one of our service users on the phone a client or customer, so you need to have the best customer service skills and be able to easily converse with lots of different people.

Because of the work we do helping people affected by cancer some of our calls may be sensitive too.

So, it's the type of job where you'll need to be able to handle these types of calls and deal with vulnerable people and the general public well.

You'll also be able to work with accuracy and maintain your concentration even when things get busy.

As you're handling important letters and documents and entering data attention to details really matters in this type of role.

It's the type of job where you'll be busy taking enquiries and helping staff and volunteers in all our departments so thinking on your feet is something you'll need to be able to do as well.

You'll be good at working with a computer as well and will have a working level of experience using Word, Excel, databases and Outlook.

What you'll need to succeed

As a positive team member you'll inspire your colleagues and team by working collaboratively and approach situations with solutions and a supportive attitude.

Customer service matters to you and you take pride in doing a job well.

You'll do well in the job if you work well under pressure and enjoy a role that's busy and varied and requires you to think on your feet and respond to situations in real time.

To be considered your CV should demonstrate you match our Person Specification requirements in:
