Higher Level Teacher Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate HLTA to join our fun, inclusive team at Weetwood. We have high expectations of our all our staff members; the successful candidate will be required to form a teaching partnership with the teacher and play a full part in all aspects of the school day.

Salary: HLTA £16.63 – 17.59 per hour (SO NJC pay scale)

Contract: Temporary for a year (in the first instance) from September 2024

Hours: 18 hours per week (3days 8:30am-3:30pm) can be negotiated.

Closing Date: Monday 10th June

Interviews: W.C. 17th June.

We are seeking to appoint HLTA to cover teacher PPA in the Early Years and Key Stage 1.

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience of teaching and learning across the Early Years and Key Stage 1. Has experience of differentiating the curriculum to meet the needs of all pupils. can demonstrate effective behaviour management strategies. Is fun, flexible, engaging and can work as part of a team. Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Able to form positive relationships with the whole school community and work collaboratively with colleagues both internally and externally.

The days and hours can be negotiated by the successful applicant.
