Esh Specialist

The ESH Specialist is responsible for supporting various Environmental, Health & Safety measures that follow company protocol and all relevant regulations.

General Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with standard operating procedures, regulatory safety in compliance with national and international regulations and regional regulations for the reporting of adverse events to regulatory agencies
• Acts as a liaison internally and with external collaborators to develop programs
• Key Participant in the development and preparation of reports for company management as well as external regulatory agencies
• Organizes with the maintenance of records on lost time accidents and prepares appropriate reports
• May implement hazardous waste control and disposal activities including training, collection, disposal, and records maintenance, as well as conservation programs within the organization

Experience / Qualifications

• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fastpaced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds selfaccountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

Essential Criteria

• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a related role
• Hold a minimum of a NEBOSH General Certificate

Desireable Criteria

• May be required to travel between sites, access to a vehicle would be beneficial
