Looking for a part-time Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our growing SME construction business in York


We're seeking a detail-oriented and reliable individual who can take on the responsibility of managing our purchase ledger working as part of a wider team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions.

As a part-time position, we offer flexible working hours to accommodate your schedule and work-life balance.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Processing supplier invoices accurately and timely, ensuring all transactions are coded correctly.
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Processing payments and managing cash flow
  • Assisting with payroll and helping the wider team where and when needed
  • Providing excellent customer service to suppliers and internal stakeholders

About you:

  • Previous experience in a similar purchase ledger role
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage their workload effectively.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Enjoy working as part of a wider team in an inclusive culture.
