JOB TITLE: INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carry out instrument maintenance activities as follows:
- Complete scheduled maintenance tasks, emphasizing safety critical activities.
- Conduct fault finding and diagnostic checks on site equipment.
- Respond to breakdowns promptly and apply effective fault finding techniques.
- Perform major services, overhauls, and maintenance on equipment.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis to enhance equipment reliability.
- Maintain detailed work history and identify follow-up actions and materials needed.
- Maintain records and ensure effective shift handovers.
- Propose efficiency-improving ideas and present them to management.
- Support team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Participate in competency schemes as required.
- Adopt a flexible working approach to support team success.
- Develop effective working relationships and minimize conflicts.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Demonstrate understanding of relevant legislation and apply it in the workplace.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Follow safety rules and procedures diligently.
- Participate in safety and environmental initiatives.
- Adhere to ISSOW guidelines, including Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks.
- Report accidents and incidents promptly.
- Respond to emergencies as required.
- Core Trade NSVQ (Level 3) Certification or Equivalent.
- CPR Training.
- TSBT 02 Disassemble and reinstall Small Bore Tubing Assemblies.
- TSBT 01 Assemble and Install Small Bore Tubing Assemblies Twin Ferrule.
- CompEx Units Ex 01 to 04 (Electrical).
- OPITO and IOSH Authorized Gas Tester - Combined Levels 1, 2 & 3 (CBT).
- Electrical Safety Rules.
- ISSoW - Permit Vision software training.
- Previous offshore experience.
- Previous experience with Maximo or similar CMMS.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
