You will receive comprehensive off-the-job training in partnership with Kingston University.

Within four years, you will gain profound insights into the retail industry and our operations, in addition to a Retail Leadership BSc (Hons) degree.

Remember, you will earn while you learn and be rewarded for your hard work.

  • Your salary will grow with your experience, starting from £25,792 per year as a Customer Assistant and increasing as you progress through roles.
  • An additional 10% non-contractual London Weighting allowance applies to stores within the M25.
What you'll do

Embark on your Lidl journey with the following breakdown:

  • Year 1: Start as a Customer Assistant, then transition to Shift Manager after 6 months. Engage in university modules covering Retail Business Environment, Retail Culture & Mindset, and Digital Retail.
  • Year 2: Progress to Deputy Store Manager and delve into modules such as Retail Operations, Retail Marketing Strategy, and Retail Insights & Customer Information.
  • Year 3: Further develop as a Deputy Store Manager, focusing on modules like Managing Retail Finance & Value, Responsible & Sustainable Management, and Retail Leadership & transformation.
  • Year 4: As a Store Manager-in-Training, complete the Building Retail Strategy module and prepare for your End Point Assessment. Upon completion, you will attain your Retail Leadership Degree Apprenticeship with a BSc (Hons) qualification.

With proven success, you will be prepared to lead your own store team.

What you'll need
  • Maths and English at level 2 or above (GCSE grade 4, or previously grade C).
  • Legal entitlement to work full-time in the UK.
  • Readiness to live within a one-hour commute of the store of choice.
  • Initiative and determination to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Additional requirements by Kingston University may apply.
