Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest general hospital foundation trusts in the country.


We provide acute medical and surgical services to Reading, Wokingham and West Berkshire and specialist services such as cancer, dialysis, and eye surgery to a wider population across Berkshire and its borders.

The Trust is made up of 7 locations with the Royal Berkshire Hospital being the main site.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Provision of administrative support to the BBT Communication and Engagement Lead writing up actions/minutes, updating plans, organising meetings
  • Coordinate the collation of programme documents, such as regular workstream reports, updates to Programme Steering group and other senior governance groups
  • Manage public BBT shared inboxes (e.g., from website, social media), responding where and escalating to Communication & Engagement Lead as appropriate
  • Create content for social media and website updates news items, post event write ups and newsletter articles.
  • Promote & keep up to date core programme communication documents/events e.g., programme organisation charts, online forums/events, website.

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  • An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  • Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
  • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You'll have the following skills/experience:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
