Seven Social Care is currently looking to hire 4 Family Support Workers to start a new role in Bootle, Sefton. The role offers a competitive hourly rate.

The ideal candidates will join the Children with Complex Needs social work service to provide support to families, especially those with children on the edge of care.

The main focus of this role will involve assisting a child with complex needs to ensure they can remain under the care of their Nan.

If you have experience in complex care and possess outstanding communication skills, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. We are seeking individuals who adopt a trauma-informed, patient, kind, and attentive approach to their work. Being flexible to work weekends, mornings, and/or evenings during the week is a requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to assessments, care planning, and reviews with a child-centered approach, empowering children, young people, and families.
  • Engage in direct work with children, young people, and families in their residences and communities, ensuring safeguarding and positive outcomes aligned with established plans.
  • Facilitate contact between looked after children/young people and their birth families, supervising and evaluating per the Care Plan.
  • Identify and evaluate risk and needs levels, delivering protective and/or supportive services for at-risk children, those in need, and/or under care, while ensuring proper reporting of risks.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in complex care and strong communication abilities.
  • Qualifications: Possession of a Level 3 qualification related to working with Children and Young People.
  • Compliance: Enhanced Children's DBS check, Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hours: Full-time position (36 hours per week) with flexibility to work weekends, mornings, and/or evenings.
  • Travel: A full UK driving license with access to a car is desirable.
