We are currently recruiting for charismatic and friendly Mental Health Community Support Workers who will be working with a variety of people within the community with a wide range of mental health needs.

Job SummaryThe main responsibilities of the job are to support the people within their own homes or in the community to provide support with activities of daily living.


Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Social inclusion
  • Sourcing activities for the individuals to partake in
  • Assistance with employment or education
  • Managing challenging situations and behaviours including Crisis Intervention
  • Escorting to medical appointments
  • Writing accurate and factual daily reports
  • Promoting and ensuring privacy and dignity
  • Working in a team and on an individual basis
  • Assisting with managing budgets and finances
  • Encouraging independence within everyday tasks such as cleaning, cooking etc
  • Assisting with personal care (dependent on need)

The candidate must have the following:

  • At least 6 months care experience
  • Ideally have a driving licence and access to their own vehicle
  • An up-to-date DBS
  • Willing to travel
  • Mental Health ExperienceThe following attainments and personal attributes are considered essential to the post:
