Am Forklift Driver

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Working Hours / AM: 01:00AM - 10:00AM

  • Unloading and loading of a number of LGV vehicles via Forklift truck.
  • Ensuring all 18 tonne vehicles are loaded in a timely manner each morning having accurately scanned freight and followed load plans, for LGV Drivers to leave promptly from the depot.
  • Moving any held freight to appropriate area within the loading area and/or warehouse if being stored on site.
  • All Forklift Drivers are responsible for the good housekeeping of their working environment with a big focus on keeping the loading area clean and tidy at the beginning of shift, throughout the shift and at the end of the shift.
  • Complying with all aspects of Health and Safety on site always working in a safe and controller way so as to minimise risk of damage to freight or risks to the safety of any staff on site.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current forklift licence.
  • Previous experience of a transport / pallet operation is desired.
  • Good IT literacy.
  • Previous transport planning experience desirable, but training can be provided.
  • Class B (car) driving licence desirable.
  • Able to work under strict time constraints
