We have two fantastic opportunities to join our large dynamic Occupational Therapy department:

Operational Lead in Neurosciences Clinical Specialist in the Acute Response team.

We are looking for a part time Occupational Therapist with significant experience to join a team of 4 clinical specialists OT's that support a large team. You will have significant experience with patients who have had a stroke or neurological diagnosis. You will support the team by sharing specialist knowledge and skills with complex cases and will develop others through both formal and informal role will involve supporting the development of the Occupational Therapy Service within our Critical Care Complex (to support a future maternity leave cover) as well as helping to provide operational leadership to a large team.

We have a part time opportunity for an Occupational Therapist who is a dynamic, forward looking individual who would love the help us to continue the development of the Acute Response Team. This team provides a service to our Older Peoples Medicine Wards, General Medical and Surgical Wards. You will work alongside an existing Band 7 to provide clinical expertise to this diverse group of patients and support the Operational lead in the ongoing development of the team.

You will need to have excellent communication skills and will be able to demonstrate sound experience of working in a clinical occupational therapy role in their chosen area.

Experienced Occupational Therapist with highly specialist skills responsible for the Occupational Therapy management of patients presenting to the relevant service/team within the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. To be the clinical lead Occupational Therapist responsible for a defined area of work as specified in Appendix 1 (where relevant) To be an expert clinical resource for the Occupational Therapy management of patients presenting to the relevant specialty, both within the Trust and regionally, as required. To represent the Occupational Therapy service as a clinical expert in initiatives both within and outside the Trust as requested by the Occupational Therapy Services Manager or Occupational Therapy Service Lead To be responsible for an individual caseload including prioritisation, assessment and management of patients with a range of acute and chronic conditions. Relying on expert clinical judgement and using highly analytical skills, to determine clinical diagnosis and treatment. To maintain records as a legally autonomous practitioner. To provide a leadership role clinically, educationally, professionally and managerially To have an active role in the planning, development, coordination, delivery and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy service provided to patients within and out-reaching from the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Job responsibilities

As an autonomous practitioner, you will:

provide a flexible and comprehensive service to a designated area assess risks relating to the discharge process to ensure a safe and timely discharge of patients to the most appropriate setting and utilising provide advice and information to patients/carers including instruction and training regarding use of equipment issued carry out day to day supervision of qualified and unqualified staff
