Major Logistics are currently recruiting a Transport Clerk for a client based in Halifax.

Pay Rate:

  • 12.00 per hour

Duties:

  • Completing all daily tasks for compliance purposes
  • Inputting of daily run sheets onto spreadsheets and web-based programmes
  • Filing of Transport related documentation
  • Complete daily, weekly reports/communications as and when required
  • Briefing drivers at the end of every shift, communicating planned requirements providing information on performance, company news and procedures
  • Update AVA with safety conversations/hazards/near miss/accident information
  • Ensuring drivers comply with Health and Safety regulations
  • Ensuring the department complies with the Road Traffic Act
  • Escalate all incidents / accidents accordingly
  • Ensure effective and timely reporting of all vehicle defects including accidents/incidents and liaison with External 3rd party breakdown / recovery agents.
  • Monitor all vehicle / trip progress and re plan deliveries and collections as required. Provide effective and timely communication with planning team.

Hours:

  • Part time role
  • Standard hours of 11:00 - 17:00
  • Monday to Friday

Requirements:

  • Previous Transport experience would be desirable
  • Previous experience working within an office environment is essential
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work under pressure
