Key Responsibilities include:

  • Leading transactions on a daytoday basis in line with timeline agreed with Director
  • Acting as principal point of contact for all transaction parties
  • Working closely with new clients ahead of future sales, helping assess their current state, future ambitions and developing plans with actions and milestones to enhance value in the lead up to sale
  • Working closely with the research and deal teams, identifying and qualifying potential buyers and developing compelling profiles for presentation to clients
  • Taking responsibility for relationship development with potential clients to build own pipeline of opportunities
  • Leading client takeon activities
  • Managing engagement of approved potential buyers and investors, assessing interest in acquiring/investing in client businesses
  • Leading report preparation, IMs, management presentations and marketing materials, including pitch presentations and proposals
  • Managing accurate preparation of relevant forms of deal related financial analyses
  • Managing deal team's financial models development, including integrated P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow operating models. Reviewing accuracy and validity of outputs
  • Leading transaction negotiations of interested parties, drafting process letters and receiving indicative offers, negotiating improvements to terms and negotiating deal structures
  • Analysing and comparing final offers, advising clients appropriately and negotiating heads of terms with preferred parties
  • Managing and mentoring less experienced members of the Transaction team
  • Proactively driving and managing the process through due diligence and liaising closely with other advisors
  • Identifying transaction risks and creating appropriate strategies to mitigate such risks
  • Regularly monitoring market conditions, bringing relevant insight to inform timing of future sale process

Requirements‍

  • Strong M&A transaction services experience, minimum 4+ years'
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and completing sale mandates for owner managed businesses
  • Proven experience of adding value to clients
  • Experience working with operational and financial models for business valuations/transaction closing purposes
  • Previous experience working with entrepreneurs, helping scale and develop their business prior to sale
  • Experience working with SME fundraising market would be highly advantageous
  • Fully qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification preferred
  • Strong influencing, analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Commercial mindset, strength of character and pragmatic approach
  • Effective stakeholder and client management
  • Driver with own vehicle
