Are you experienced in Welding Quality Assurance and looking for a full-time position in Stockport? About the Role:

  • Work closely with the welding engineer as part of the welding coordination team to enhance the Welding Quality Management System (WQMS).
  • Provide proactive support and guidance to manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with welding standards.
  • Assist in setting standards by contributing to the development of WPS and maintaining welder training requirements.
  • Perform ISO 3834 pre-audit analysis and address any identified issues.
  • Identify and address root causes of weld-related issues and internal audit non-conformances.
  • Support and implement necessary changes resulting from welder audit non-conformances.
  • Develop WPS as needed for new product intake and legacy programs.

Requirements:

  • IWS/EWS qualified and registered with The Welding Institute (TWI).
  • Good knowledge of MIH/MAG (SMAW) and TIG (GTAW) processes.
  • Familiarity with various welding processes such as MIG/MAG(SMAW) TIG(GTAW).
  • Working understanding of ISO 3834 and mechanised welding systems.
  • Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Software (PM), DIN 2303, and ideally CSWIP 3.1 certification.
