Job Description

As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you'll be working on diverse projects from Heathrow to educational initiatives, collaborating with top industry players such as Rolls Royce and BP.


In this role you will:

  • Co-ordinate and manage small project teams
  • Serve as discipline lead on mid-to-large projects
  • Provide specialized technical input and direction
  • Present solutions to clients
  • Conduct quality control reviews
  • Participate in proposal development
  • Attend design and coordination meetings
  • Assist in contractor selection and tender processes
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and design team members
  • Meet client expectations effectively

Qualifications

  • Relevant portfolio demonstrating competencies across multiple sectors
  • Proficiency in Hevacomp design software
  • Competency in NBS specification writing software
  • Knowledge of BSRIA Design Guides
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in multi-service design

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Member of CIBSE
  • CEng accreditation or working towards it
