Wanting to make a real difference to the lives of children living with Special Educational Needs?

An opportunity has opened for a Teaching Assistant in a SEN provision in Salford.

The pupils are of secondary age with specialised needs including Autism, physical disabilities and other complex learning / PMLD needs meaning that students are working at a much lower level than in mainstream education and with class size reduced.


Your role will be to support in the classroom for basic themed topics as well as more specific communication and life skills.

Lessons are designed to be fun and activity based, placing focus on supporting each individuals needs, building confidence and providing practical skills.

The school also offers vocational courses which will equip students with skills to support them through life and employment.

All students in the centre have an Educational Healthcare Plan which is the key focus for learning and drives their personalised curriculum.

This is a great opportunity for those with health and social care experience, graduates from psychology / related courses or those looking to gain experience in education and enhance personal development by working in a specialist setting

This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday to start immediately.
