We have an amazing opportunity for a motivated, experienced and fun allied health professional to join our assistive technology (AT) team in Launceston, Tasmania.

St. Giles is a community based not-for-profit business, recognised as a leader in helping Tasmanians live to their full potential.

For over 80 years we've been delivering a comprehensive range of specialist health and disability services to individuals and families.

This position is based within a multidisciplinary team - comprising of AHPs (occupational therapists & physiotherapists) and seating technicians (with trade and engineering backgrounds) - which offers a high quality, innovative and evidence-based approach to equipment provision.

The service specialises in developing custom AT solutions for individuals with complex postural, mobility and medical needs.

The team utilises a client-centred approach to help clients make informed choices about the AT that is right for them.

The position is offered at 0.6 FTE (3 days per week). However opportunities may exist to combine this position with other allied health vacancies across St. Giles to equate to a full time position.

The boxes you'll need to tick:
Demonstrated experience in assessment and provision of a variety of AT, including wheelchairs.

Demonstrated experience in AT prescription for people of all ages (adults and children) with complex postural and mobility needs.

Demonstrated ability to engage in complex problem solving, innovation and collaboration.
Sound understanding of key approaches including 24 hour postural management.
Uphold a strong sense of team, have a growth mindset and a great sense of humour
Excellent clinical reasoning, written and communication skills.
Hold a current Working with Vulnerable Persons Check and National Police Check.
