Primary Function of the Position

Each senior is pivotal in developing, delivering, maintaining, and supporting our insurance systems, both public and internal. Currently, we seek a Senior Engineer for app development and innovation to enhance our app written in React Native for iOS and Android, available on the App Store and Google Play Store.

Core Responsibilities of the Position
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, perform thorough code reviews, ensure solutions are tested correctly, oversee quality assurance and ensure best practices are followed.
  • Actively participate in sprint development, contributing to coding tasks, with a focus on tackling the more complex technical challenges that require specialised expertise.
  • Use your technical knowledge and expertise to help build a better Tempcover, and bring people along with you on that journey.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Leverage real time metrics, data, and testing to continuously monitor and enhance your product's performance, ensuring its health & robustness throughout.
  • Working closely with product managers and designers to implement user-friendly interfaces.
  • Pioneering the future of Tempcovers' product development, employing technologies - like React, .Net Core, Cloud-Native solutions, and more - to construct robust, scalable platforms to build upon.
  • Staying up-to-date with mobile app development trends, tools, and technologies.
Skills and Requirements
  • High level of proficiency developing applications using most of the following:
    • React-Native, React JS/Typescript
    • C# , .Net Core
    • SOLID Principles
    • Web API
  • Hands-on experience with React Native, building apps for both iOS and Android
  • Experience in releasing apps on the App Store and Google Play Store
  • Awareness of best practices on each iOS and Android platform and the differences
  • Experience working within agile teams (large or small) and aspiration to continue to do so.
  • A source of enthusiasm in the team, continually driving people to think of the bigger picture and make impactful changes.
