About your experience:
You will ideally have experience as a carer in a one-to-one setting having worked previously with adults with a spinal cord injury, although applicants with no previous experience will also be considered as training and support is available in the role.
You will be able to:
- Support our client in maximising their independence in all activities of daily living
- Implement daily therapeutic programmes
- To enable and promote our client in pursuing social outings
- To provide companionship
- To assist with personal care
- Assist the client with his moving and handling needs, using appropriate equipment
- Establish a professional working relationship with our client and their family
- Protect the client's confidentiality at all times
- Maintain a working knowledge of the relevant case management plan and risk assessments
- Maintain good communications with the case manager and team leader using communication tools and other procedures
- Conform to all policies and procedures relevant to your role or employment, as prepared by the case management practice
Your skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Punctuality and good timekeeping
- Willingness to participate in training
We are able to offer a funded DBS, a competitive salary starting at £14 per hour, fully funded mandatory and specialised training and a pension plan.
