We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Food & Beverage Team Leader to join our team at Lyons Eryl Hall, in St Asaph, Denbighshire.

Supported by the Food & Beverage Manager, the Food & Beverage Team Leader is responsible for engaging and inspiring their team each day and setting direction in relation to the day to day tasks.

They ensure that the team are guest obsessed, exceed targets, work in a clean and inviting environment and follow standard operating procedures.

You will have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the management and tasks for the Food & Beverage Department.

You will have a minimum of Level 2 in Food Safety and also be able to demonstrate experience in Cellar Management.


Responsibilities for the Role:

Business:

  • Takes ownership of shift and service delivery ensuring all team are guest obsessed
  • Take charge of a shift when you are the most senior member of the team on duty or when requested by the food and beverage manager
  • Ensure all standards are continually and consistently delivered
  • Ensure consistently of delivery and highest attention to detail at all times
  • Monitors daily service and tasks, observing speed of service, arranging appropriate resource when needed
  • Achieve and exceed targets and key performance indicators
  • Manage all Stock Margin, Cash Procedures and Cost Control in the department maximising profit and minimise loss.
  • Have specific responsibility for the management of all beverage stock to include delivery of stock, dispense training for others, cellar management, waste control, stock rotation and presentation, as well as all bar cleaning requirements
  • Open and close functions and bars when required, which includes the handling of cash and closing the day.
  • Respond to business needs
  • Ensure a clear line of communication between yourself, your team and the kitchen
  • Ensure all food hygiene and health and safety regulations are followed
  • Encourage a happy team environment within the workplace

Guests:

  • Confidently deals with guest concerns with the ability to resolve problems, show empathy and understanding. Reacts to Guest Feedback and works with the team to respond quickly to address areas for improvement
  • Any complaints that cannot be resolved, to ensure the Food & Beverage Manager is informed

Team:

  • Leads and coaches the team daily to ensure all areas of responsibility are covered, guiding all team members when needed and escalate issues to Food & Beverage Manager when required. Deals with any employee relations issues as they arise. Support team through the induction including completion of mandatory safe and secure training
  • Ensure all team have the relevant qualifications and completed all training required for role
  • Identifying and developing future talent in department
  • Encourage a happy team environment within the workplace

Expereince:

  • Relevant experience leading a team in a fastpaced Food & Beverage environment is preffered
