About Our Client

A family owned independent practice that specialises in the property sector and owner managed businesses.

Job Description

*Accounts prep and finalisation - of accounts and corporation tax returns from client bookkeeping, to draft, to final, obtaining client approval to submit Companies House & HMRC using Tax Calc accounts production software
*Accuracy - Accounts must be supported by detailed working papers including concise internal notes, fixed assets register, bank statements and other balance sheet reconciliations
*Authenticity - Verify client information and bookkeeping data to ensure figures are complete.
*Clarity - Clear communication with clients to explain and agree accounting journals being entered onto the clients' accounting software, treatment of tax sensitive items and the impact on profits
*Comprehensive - Understanding the client and their business to be able to spot and share tax efficient tips specific to each client's circumstances
*Consistency - Producing accounts to the same high standard time and time again
*Precision - Preparing, discussing and finalising accounts and corporation tax returns, getting them right first time, resulting in minimal adjustments and no unexplained discrepancies
*Creation of self-assessment tax returns and finalisation - from client bookkeeping, to draft, to final with client approval to submit to HMRC using Tax Calc self-assessment software
*Accuracy - Prepare self-assessment packs which provide checks to original documentation
*Authenticity - Obtain and verify client information and bookkeeping data to ensure data is complete
*Clarity - Discussions with clients to explain and agree amendments to clients' bookkeeping, treatment of tax sensitive items and the impact on profits
*Consistency - Producing self-assessment tax returns to the same high standard time and time again
*Precision - Preparing self-assessment tax returns with no unexplained discrepancies

The Successful Applicant

ACCA or ACA qualified with 5+ year's UK accounting experience creating limited company accounts & self-assessment tax returns
*Tech - Ability to use Xero/QuickBooks software
*Personable - communicates pleasantly internally and with clients
*Accurate - keen eye for detail, accurate and concise
*Passion - Loves being accountable and autonomous
