An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Financial Systems Developer to join our Information Systems Team.

In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day development of our finance systems processes. The successful candidate will also be looking to take an active role in coordinating systems schedules including planning, testing and supporting specific reports and improvements.

£50,000

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:
  • Design and develop load processes using SQL &PL/SQL, and queries for very large databases with complex workloads and large transaction volumes.
  • Work as a member of a cross-functional project team contributing to technology-based solutions.
  • Engage with the key business stakeholders to understand, clarify and confirm requirements and low-level technical design.
  • Develop and maintain projects documentation, status updates, issue lists, participating in business processes descriptions and maintenance.
  • Develops new systems or extensions to existing systems from supplied requirements and specifications in accordance with agreed standards.
  • Overall accountability of Hubble Performance including, monitoring, fault investigation/recording, corrections and implementation.
Key Competencies
  • Excellent communication, report writing, presentation and IT skills.
  • Possess an appropriate qualification and have sound commercial and business knowledge.
  • Punctual, organised and efficient, with good problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Understanding of the utility industry.
  • Proficient in Hubble reporting, Microsoft 365, Oracle E business or Oracle Fusion
  • Excellent communication, report writing, presentation and IT skills.
Qualifications and Attributes
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in financial systems/control in a regulated environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain documentation.
  • Strong Database experience working on understanding cost of queries/optimization
  • 2+ years' experience of database analysis and report building within Oracle development environments.
  • 2+ years' experience of SQL
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Oracle E-Business Suite Training and Certification
  • Oracle Fusion Training and Certification
  • Previous experience working with Oracle Fusion
  • 2+ years' Financial services including middle & back-office knowledge.
  • Experience of Hubble reporting or other Oracle reporting tools
  • 2+ years' experience of system design and analysis of Oracle development environments
  • 2+ years' experience of SQL development
