The Risk Manager I oversees the creation, implementation, and validation of various risk segmentation strategies, such as adjudication, account management, exposure management, and financial return optimization.

This role involves providing crucial information, detailed analysis, and deploying credit risk strategies to ensure alignment with TD's risk appetite and regulatory requirements.

The primary responsibility of the Risk Manager I is to offer a wide range of risk management expertise.

  • Investigates, implements, and validates risk segmentation strategies using complex data and analytical tools
  • Leads or participates in new initiatives, operational enhancements, and special projects
  • Develops credit risk assessment capabilities to identify business opportunities
  • Provides analysis and recommendations to Senior Management regarding critical strategies
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams and ensures compliance with internal and external regulations

Requirements for this role include a Bachelor's degree (Graduate degree preferred), proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, experience with Relational Databases and ETL processes, familiarity with analytical tools like SAS, R, and Tableau, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, expertise in data modeling, and the ability to present recommendations to Senior Management.

Additional responsibilities may involve occasional domestic and international travel, continuous operation of office equipment, occasional movement in confined spaces, and continuous reading, writing, and comprehension of instructions.
