Creative crafty girl who enjoys being outside, loves animals, as well as swimming, dancing, and riding her bike seeks a fun-loving and warm-hearted personal assistant to join her jolly team. She has a diagnosis of Autism and Epilepsy. Role is supporting her 2:1 and there will be no lone-working

Support required:

  • Personal support
  • Meal preparation
  • Support with medication
  • Driving her vehicle
  • Support her to take part with activities in the community
  • Emotional support
  • Support with movement via a handling belt and/or a wheelchair when outside
  • Supporting with furthering her independence

Hourly rate of pay:
£ £85.50 per sleep in.

Total hours:
Various hours and shift patterns including weekends and sleep-ins are available. Times for support cover 24/7, so hours can be negotiated.

Essential:

  • A patient person who can adapt to the needs and wants of the people they support.
  • Full driving licence

Desirable:

  • Some knowledge of Makaton/key signs, although training will be provided
  • Someone who can create a warm and homely environment at the beginning and the end of each day to help her feel safe

Training to be provided - Previous support work experience isn't required, we ask only that you have a willingness to learn
