Our CTC department have an opportunity for an FY 1 to join its supportive and friendly team to meet the increasing outpatient demands of the fastest-growing town in Essex working with their medical colleagues in providing support for the inpatient services.


You must demonstrate behaviour which supports and promotes the Trust vision and values at all opportunities and offer continuing responsibility for the care of patients in your charge in liaison with consultant colleagues and for proper functioning of the department in line with the Operational policy and strategic plan (as amended).


All clinical staff are accountable and responsible for their own clinical competence and should limit their actions to those for which they are deemed competent and complying with requirements of their professional organisations regarding supervision contributing to effective communication and involvement of staff across the Division.


In your FY 1 role you will have day-to-day responsibility for patients on the ward, will take part in consultant ward rounds and will ensure that GP discharge letters containing all relevant information are sent.


You will be expected to give advice when required to clinical nurse practitioners, to advise junior medical staff where appropriate will ensure that case notes are properly completed, drug prescriptions are regularly reviewed, appropriate investigations are carried out and the results acted upon and made available for consultant ward rounds.


As part of the role you will be expected to participate in the out of hour and on call rota which includes weekends, to provide cover for colleagues' annual leave and other authorised absence.

which may include supporting colleagues on all wards - Cardiology and Surgical ward and must work flexibly with colleagues to achieve the hospital agreed planned activity for inpatient and outpatient services
