Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Test Facility Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our test facilities, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. This role involves detailed documentation, network planning, and hands-on operation of test equipment, working closely with our Senior Engineer and IT department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document all equipment within the facilities and log details in the maintenance system.
  • Formalize and update facilities floorplans regularly.
  • Produce Health & Safety (H&S) documentation and processes in line with guidelines.
  • Generate statements of work for various internal fit-out exercises to facilitate supplier quotations and nominations.
  • Clear obsolete equipment from test functions, managing external disposal or repurposing equipment according to processes.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to complete network planning and installation.
  • Operate mechanical and environmental test equipment as directed by the Senior Engineer.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the automotive manufacturing sector.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with H&S regulations and documentation processes.
  • Experience with network planning and IT integration.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical and environmental test equipment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in using maintenance management systems.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulatory standards.
  • Project management experience.
