The role:

As the Head ofPeople Operations, you will have responsibility for all transactional services, leading across Business Partnering and Talent Acquisition while operating as part of the wider People Function which comprises of Learning & Development, Culture & Engagement, Compensation & Benefits, as well as People Operations and Talent & Acquisition - known as the dream team

Key Responsibilities:

  • The People plan: Collaborating with CPO in the creation and delivery of our strategic plans to drive high performance and delivery globally. This will be leading on new initiatives working across talent acquisition, learning and development, performance, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, mental health and wellbeing etc.
  • Team Management: Responsible for the management of People Partners and Talent Partner supporting their performance delivery against role expectations, coaching and personal development.
  • Third party relationship Management: Managing and maintaining People team contracts and relationship with suppliers ensuring fit for purpose service, cost management, renewals and sourcing new providers as appropriate.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with all stakeholders to establish and maintain strong and positive working relationships by providing partnering support through, advice, guidance and coaching.   • Employee Relations: Support the People Partners in navigating complicated ER cases as an escalation point, proactively driving the management of performance, succession planning as well as quick ER resolution across the business.
  • Talent Acquisition: support the T&A partners in recruitment activities from management of headcount, benchmarking, and championing for diversity and inclusion during all processes. Actively support with the interviewing process at senior level to ensure candidate experience whilst balancing the onboarding of the most suitable candidates. Assist with management of Agency Relationship from PSL creation and contract agreements to third party services related to recruitment activities.
  • Learning & Development: Support the people partners in identifying development needs across the business and working closely with L&D team to ensure the flow of training requirements are implemented and tracked appropriately. Drive delivery of People agenda training such as, performance management, absence, investigations, disciplinary as toolbox talks to build manager confidence and capability which includes creation and delivery of content.
  • Employee Engagement: Support in managing the employee engagement platform (Peakon) inputting into survey design and cadence, managing statistics, steer team calibration sessions and leading on change initiatives across the business to drive higher engagement for happier and healthier employees. Support the business with implementing and managing accreditations and memberships (Investors in People and B-Corp) always driving for positive change.
  • People Metrics & Analytics: Lead on the production of operational statistics and dashboards to manage functional efficiencies; tracking headcount to ensure budgetary tracking and spend, People metrics; absence, attrition, EDI as well as ER activities to identify trends for improvements.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Collaborate with the team for remuneration change approvals including running pay exception or COL process, management of incentive plans and supporting with the implementation of benefit schemes.
  • People Team Administration: Ensuring that processing of key documents ranging from offers and contracts, appraisals, return to work forms and GP notes, production of formal letters and PO raising for invoices are taking place in line with process flows.

  • Exceptional experience developing meaningful relationships with senior leaders across the business and can challenge, influence and guide, being recognised as a subject matter expert across the HR sphere.
  • Recognises the importance of understanding the business, our plans, direction, objectives and can identify the challenges to interpret the people impacts
  • A passion for building capability, productivity and performance across a diverse workforce.
  • Committed to supporting our employees to reach their maximum potential through clear development and action plans.
  • Project management skills, with previous experience leading, developing and delivering on significant HR initiatives, with experience managing the relevant complexities
  • Can use data, metrics and the soft skills of a true Business Partner to identify ways in which we can increase engagement.
  • Significant experience and exposure across the full spectrum of ER issues and can demonstrate your catalogue of ER knowledge by leading on complex ER issues.
  • Understands the benefits that an inclusive and diverse workforce provides and be as passionate as us about striving to make continuous improvements.
  • CIPD level 7 qualified or have significant work experience across HR at this or a similar level.
  • Drive to continuously self-improve and develop.

  • 9 Day Fortnight – This is a flexible working pattern which individuals can opt in for where an employee works their contractual hours across 9 days instead of 10 days. (i.e. 80 hours across 9 days instead of 10 days). This mean the individual would work an additional hour across Monday to Thursday (across the 2 week period) to gain their Friday off.
