Amplifi Talent are delighted to be working once again with a leading business in the city centre of Edinburgh. They are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic team.
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring you to be in the office for 2 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder.
The position is initially for a 3-month fixed term, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and efficiently
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries
- Maintain and update accounting databases and spreadsheets
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- AAT qualification or working towards it
- Experience with accounting software Sage Intacct.
