  • Excellent starting salary from £60,000Our client is an independent referral centre situated in the tranquil landscapes of Inverness, nestled in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Renowned for their unwavering commitment to excellence, they offer a comprehensive suite of specialised veterinary services. These services include acupuncture, cardiorespiratory care, CT scanning, dermatology, BVA/KC eye testing, internal medicine and oncology, ophthalmology, orthopaedic surgery, and soft tissue surgery.
They are searching for a dedicated and compassionate Ophthalmologist to become an integral member of their expanding team.

As an essential team player, your role will encompass the skilled management of a diverse caseload involving medical and surgical ophthalmology cases.

You will also play a pivotal role in providing expertise and guidance to referring veterinarians, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.

You will collaborate closely with their experienced ophthalmology team, which includes two certificate holders, one of whom is an eye panellist.

You will also have access to cutting-edge specialist equipment such as slit-lamp biomicroscopy, indirect ophthalmoscopy, direct ophthalmoscopy, gonioscopy, tonometry, microsurgical kit, operating microscope, and phacoemulsification unit.

You will have access to state-of-the-art imaging technologies including DR x-ray and 64-slice CT and an in-house laboratory for diagnostic purposes.

Ideally, the successful candidate will hold a certificate and be looking to develop their diagnostic and surgical skills but our client would consider someone studying towards their certificate.

You need to exhibit a deep passion for ophthalmology and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Demonstrate exceptional communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with colleagues and referring veterinarians and embrace a compassionate and caring approach.


The Rota:

  • Full time role - Part time hours will be considered
OOH rota which includes weekends and bank holidaysThe Benefits:
