We are looking for a Lead Data Scientist

Eames has partnered with a top global personal lines insurer in search of a Lead Data Scientist. This role centers around owning the development and implementation of data science solutions. Based in Surrey, this position is a hybrid one, requiring you to be in the office 1-2 times a week. The salary, depending on experience, can go up to £75,000, plus bonuses and benefits.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to pinpoint data-driven opportunities, design experiments, and create analytical approaches to tackle specific challenges.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to shape innovative analytics opportunities that align with strategic goals, assessing potential, defining project scopes, and outlining deliverables.
  • Develop and deploy advanced machine learning models utilizing Azure Machine Learning and open-source stack, ensuring resilience through statistical analysis and hypothesis testing.
  • Guide and support the growth and skill development of data science team members, delivering impactful insights through data visualizations and dashboards.

Applicants must have a solid background as a Data Scientist, demonstrating a successful history of leading and executing advanced data science projects, especially within the Insurance Domain. Proficiency in Python or R, along with extensive experience in ML algorithms and models like Regression, Tree-based, Unsupervised, and NLP, is essential. Candidates should also possess expertise in statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, experimental design, and familiarity with machine learning algorithms and frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch.
