Responsibilities;

  • Drive the Multiplex sustainability strategy ensuring the company remains at the forefront of sustainability leadership and innovation and remains economically, social and environmentally sustainable
  • Provide support to the project on meeting and exceeding objectives relevant to environmental contractual commitments, regulations, laws and policies. This will require involvement in the Bid, Pre-Construction, Design, Procurement and Construction and Handover Phase of the project and potentially beyond.
  • Draft and agree the Environmental Sustainability Management Plan
  • Identify BREEAM, CfSH, LEED, WELL etc. (as relevant) actions and other projectspecific requirements for the project
  • Work with the project team to develop projectspecific strategies for meeting environmental requirements e.g. material plans, waste prevention and minimisation, noise plans, environmental incident prevention and response plan, biodiversity plans
  • Work with the project team to implement projectspecific strategies for meeting environmental requirements e.g. carbon, energy and water reduction, responsible sourcing, waste prevention and minimisation, noise plans, environmental incident prevention and response plan, biodiversity plans as well as assist in driving wellbeing and anti
- slavery actions

  • Leading and supporting the Sustainability Working Groups based around the Multiplex Sustainability Strategy
  • Exploring opportunities for sustainability innovations and drive their implementation
  • Develop working relationships with relevant industry bodies as well as enforcing authorities specific to the project, such as the Environment Agency and the local authority
  • Promote a proactive Health & Safety culture
  • Represent Multiplex in a professional manner whether during working hours or otherwise.
Experience;

  • University degree in environmental studies, engineering or equivalent discipline
  • Knowledge of current UK legislation and other requirements regarding environment & sustainability issues in construction
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
