About the role


The Warehouse Operative will report to the Senior Stock Controller and will be responsible for ensuring full control and Work within Central Stores (Staveley), to ensure efficient, safe and accurate handling of stock and deliver a high quality to all customers.

You will be required to support the stores team.

What you will be doing

  • Control the goods out workflow to ensure all order requirements are picked and dispatched accurately and on time.
  • Dispatching orders with appropriate paperwork and by the correct courier to internal and external customers across the UK.
  • Picking customer orders and safely preparing pallets/parcels for collection.
  • Take reasonable care of both your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected. Ensure all health and safety systems are followed at all times and raise any concerns, incidents or suggestions to your line manager.
  • Assist the team with regular stock counts to ensure accurate stock integrity. (Overtime may be required)

About You

  • Able to develop / contribute to the development of procedures.
  • Able to accommodate flexible hours of work for example, month end stock takes, late arrival of goods/courier etc.
  • Moderate knowledge and competence in use of warehouse computer systems finishing tickets, printing delivery labels.
  • Forklift truck experience preferred but not essential.
  • Able to physically handle parcels (with manual handling training)
