Job Description
Your team and role. United Living Group consists of four businesses, all committed to realizing our vision of a connected, sustainable future. In our New Homes division, we focus on delivering build-to-rent and affordable housing solutions to address community housing challenges. As a vital member of the SHEQ department, you'll play a key role in providing advice and guidance to project teams and supply chain partners. This is an excellent opportunity to kickstart your career and receive full support. Your main responsibilities include:
- Communicating and promoting a positive SHEQ culture.
- Guiding project teams on implementing management systems.
- Monitoring site performance using company arrangements.
- Leading continuous improvement of SHEQ performance.
- Supporting subcontractors and suppliers as needed.
- Participating in bid and pre-start processes.
- Providing performance analysis and reporting.
- Supporting the team in strategy delivery.
What to expect from your Apprenticeship programme. As an Apprentice SHEQ Advisor with New Homes, you'll be immersed in a real job from day one, gaining hands-on industry experience and working towards a nationally recognized qualification. You'll receive mentorship, access to a dedicated mentor, and support throughout your apprenticeship journey.
Qualifications
What we need from you
- 5 GCSEs at grade 4-9/A*-C including English and Maths.
- Basic IT skills for report compilation and database usage.
- A UK driving licence or in the process of obtaining one.
- Availability to start in September 2024.
- Willingness to travel across the UK, including overnight stays.
- Commitment to company values during work and studies.
- Motivation to successfully complete the apprenticeship.
