Reed Education are currently recruiting for a Music Teacher for a school in Rossendale for a long term opportunity.

The role is a full time teacher of Music starting 3rd January running until the end of the Easter term with a possible extension to the end of the academic year.

The school is a large secondary school based in the Rossendale area with excellent facilities anda good reputation in the area.

The school is situated within easy access to the motorway and public transport links.

You will have full teaching responsibility including but not limited to:

• Preparing lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Marking and assessing students work to ensure they are track to achieve their projected grades
• Delivering practical music and music theory lessons.
• Working across the department to ensure that you are the best you can be.
• Basic administrative tasks in line with you job role
• Attending parents' evenings and departmental meetings

To be considered for this role you must:

• Must have QTS or equivalent
• Must have recent relevant experience of teaching Music across KS3 and KS
• Be reliable, committed and interested in working with students and demonstrate the qualities of a good role model (qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills)
• Have good interpersonal skills; be trustworthy, punctual as well as being patient and confident when working with children
