Autism Support Worker

We are looking for a passionate and capable Autism Support Worker to join our highly-regarded school in Sunderland. This full-time role is available throughout the academic year, providing stability for students with complex needs on the Autistic spectrum.
Responsibilities:
Supporting students with autism in both group and one-on-one settingsAssisting with classwork as requiredImplementing effective behaviour management strategiesAssisting students with their daily routinesCollaborating with the team to develop Education Healthcare Plans (ECHP)Our school is renowned for its dedicated and highly skilled staff who work together to provide a tailored and engaging curriculum for students with diverse needs. With a strong focus on creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment, our students are able to thrive and reach their full potential.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an Autism Teaching Assistant or Support Worker (preferred but not required)A positive and encouraging attitudeExperience in behaviour managementBenefits:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
