To ensure the safe custody and administration of drugs in accordance withHavens Hospice procedures and the law To undertake a variety of other clinical procedures such as dressings, enteral feeding, venepuncture, as required to ensure the patient needs are met (in line withcompetencyframework) Toback-up clinical decision making with theoretical and professional knowledge and communicate this effectively.

To maintain professional competence through adherence to a lifelong learning philosophy and promote a culture of learning and professional development within the team.

To develop and maintain palliative carecompetenciesand frailtyprinciples.

To ensure maintenance of professional revalidation. To take part in clinical audit and the development of clinical guidelines. To report compliments and complaints as per Hospice policy. To participate in ensuring staffing rotas are adequately manned and good working relationship exists with locum agencies.


To rotate into the other adult hospice teams as required and assist withother services to ensure continuity of service to patients.
