Job description:

We are looking for a Shop Supervisor to join our team 5 days per week.

Job Title:
Shop Supervisor (5 days per week)

Reports To:
Shop Manager

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure guests receive the highest levels of customer service whilst always representing the brand.
  • Process card payments, refunds, and exchanges.
  • Give advice and guidance on product selection to customers.
  • Assist with taking receipt of deliveries to the shop.
  • Work within established health and safety guidelines.
  • Reconcile the Shop and Museum figures against reports.
  • Assist in the management of staff, including allocation of duties and rotation.
  • Ensure the shop floor is fully stocked and well merchandised.
  • Organise lunch breaks to enable the maximum number of staff on the shop floor.
  • Key holder with responsibility for opening, closing and endofday procedures.
  • Weekend work will be a requirement of the role with a fiveinseven rota in place to ensure adequate staffing levels throughout the year.

What part your role will play in The Championships:

  • Work as part of the wider Retail departmental team to ensure the smooth running and operation of the retail experience at The Championships. This will require extra and different responsibilities between May and July each year and a commitment to unsocial hours at times.
  • Additional Championships responsibilities may include managing teams of seasonal Sales Assistants in the Museum Shop and/or other Wimbledon Shop outlets at the Grounds during event fortnight.
  • Assist with payroll and timesheet inputting.
  • Longer hours will be required during the fortnight of The Championships.

About You:

Essential:

  • Experience in supervising staff
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Desirable:

  • Strong work and customer service ethic
  • An ability to selfmotivate when working alone as well as to work as part of team.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy.
  • A clear understanding of the Wimbledon brand and aesthetic.
  • An ability to work well in a team environment with good interpersonal and communication skills.
