Type: Permanent, full-time contract
In this exciting role, you'll be an integral part of Anglian Water Alliance, a collaboration involving Kier, Anglian Water, Barhale, and Morrisons, focusing on innovative water recycling solutions and maintaining clean water sources.
Key Responsibilities:
As the new Construction Manager, your scope will involve overseeing health, safety, environmental, and sustainability aspects related to water and water recycling non-infrastructure. You will spearhead compliance management for all construction work carried out under CDM regulations.
While your primary focus will be construction management, you'll also adopt a broader alliance perspective, demonstrating appropriate collaborative behaviors and leadership qualities within cross-functional teams.
Your role will entail leading your construction team to ensure all activities align with project objectives, fostering a culture of safety and quality to meet delivery schedules and ensure top-notch service delivery.
Your routine tasks will include:
Leading and supervising site construction teams to deliver projects within budget and timelines Conducting project kick-off meetings and health assessments Overseeing the performance of tier 2 suppliers Driving constructability reviews, project rehearsals, and fit-for-assembly approvals to enhance performance and foster innovation Focusing on waste reduction and carbon footprint minimization in construction activitiesDesired Qualifications:
This Construction Manager role is an excellent fit if you possess:
Proven experience in resource management within a dynamic setting, coupled with an HNC/Degree in Civil or Construction Management Background in the water and water recycling sector, specifically dealing with large-scale structures Valid CSCS card, SMSTS certification, and a full driving licenseAt Kier, we value potential and welcome transferable skills.
