Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Learning Support Assistant at our Crawley campus .
You will join us on a part time, permanent basis and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of pro rata of GBP23,151 per annum.
The Learning Support Assistant role:Are you looking to start a rewarding career in education in a part time role that can fit around your personal life and responsibilities?
As a Learning Assistant, you will be supporting students requiring additional help with their programmes of study across various areas within College, creating positive relationships with them and assisting them in a classroom or workshop setting.
This will include students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, including emotional, social, behavioural and mobility needs.The work you do as a Learning Assistant will ensure our students have an outstanding and fulfilling experience at college.
Key Responsibilities of ourLearning Support Assistant:
Supporting, within and outside the classroom, the learning and emotional/social/ behavioural needs of students receiving additional support, in accordance with College policies.
Providing support for personal care where necessary, including administering medication.Assisting the Head of Learning Support and Resources, Learning Support Team Leaders and Lecturers in the preparation and adaptation of learning materials/resources.
Continually reviewing the students support needs.Liaising with the Learning Support Team Leaders, Student Tutors and Lecturers on a daily basis.
Our ideal Learning Support Assistant should have the below skills and experience:
GCSE (or equivalent) in English at grade C or above
Experience working with people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, emotional, social and behavioural needs
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word
The ability to communicate to a diverse range of people at all levels, verbally and in writing
