As HCMUK continues to prioritise the safety and well-being of its workforce, we are actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated
HSE Advisor to join our team in Hebburn.
Responsibilities:
- To provide expert, professional health and safety advice, guidance, and support to all interested parties.
- To support the company in ensuring compliance with all relevant legislative and other requirements inclusive of our ISO certified QHSE Management Systems.
- Work in collaboration with operational departments to ensure all activities have been adequately risk assessed, with safe systems of work been agreed, communicated, and understood.
- Support operational departments in ensuring COSHH compliance including the maintenance of the company COSHH register.
- Assist with and/or complete regular formal safety inspections and internal audits as required across all depots and fieldbased operations.
This role will be responsible for supporting our regional depots (South), off-site activities at third party locations, and on-site support to the QHSE team based in Hebburn.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Essential_
- 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
- A formally recognised Health and Safety qualification, such as the NEBOSH National General Certificate as a minimum.
- A formally recognised Environmental qualification such as NEBOSH or IEMA Environmental Certificate.
- Membership of a professional body such as IOSH or IEMA.
- Strong communicator and the ability to positively influence others.
- Desirable_
- Previous experience of working in a manufacturing or construction environment.
