THE ROLEnThis is a newly created role in our Technology team with a key focus on aiding Hush to develop, maintain and draw insights from business intelligence solutions consisting of Google Big Query (Data warehouse), Domo (Visualisations), Snaplogic (ELT), and DBT (Modelling).

Reporting into our Head of Technology, playing a critical role in our small Data Engineering team of 2, you'll have the opportunity to challenge the status quo, preparing ad-hoc analysis, supporting business users in self-serve operations mode and actively championing data-science use and robust data analysis across the organisation.


THE RESPONSIBILITIESnCollaborate with the business to prioritise and define data requirements into agreed priorities.nEnsure the stable running of the data environment from a security and performance perspective.nSupport external partners and internal stakeholders with data to drive business initiatives.nCreation and ongoing maintenance of reporting data models for use in BI reportingnMaintenance of the reports in BI reporting tool.nHelp non-technical end users adopt a self-service mindset to reporting and providing guidance and best practise where necessary.nReview data produced, analyse and provide actionable insights and opinion on data.nAdvocate for and facilitate technology education within the business helping stakeholders to better understand technology and become increasingly self-sufficient.nPartner with business teams to support them in making data easily available and accessible and in making data-driven decisions.nCo-own customer data and insights in collaboration with the Marketing teams.nApply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques, including clustering, regression analysis, and predictive modelling, to extract deeper insights from customer data.nBuild predictive models to forecast customer behaviour, including sales trends, churn prediction, and lifetime value projections.nUtilise techniques like customer lifetime value (CLV) modelling and cohort analysis to provide a comprehensive view of customer behaviour.nChampion a data-driven culture.


THE PERSONnStrong communication skills; able to articulate complex technical topics for non-technical colleagues to understand and report on data activity progress.nExcellent SQL and data modelling skills.nKnowledge of at least one other programming language.nComprehensive technical experience in data warehousing, ETL and BI reporting technologies.nExperience working with and administrating a modern BI platform, such as Looker, Qlik, Domo or Power BI.nExperience of working with cloud data warehousing technology.nAnalytical skills; ability to review and advise on data extracted.
