Jointers Mate

Electricity North West is looking for a Jointers Mate to join an inclusive team in Manchester. This full-time Safety Mate role offers a salary of up to £34,551.29 per year plus excellent benefits.

Day to day work will involve working as part of a two-person team.

Work will include street furniture faults, replacing single and three phase service terminations, finding and repairing customer services, restoring supplies to multiple customers including LV operations and repairing high voltage cables.

You will be expected as part of a team to complete Point of Work Risk Assessments, raise permits, use disc cutters, breakers hand tools and mini diggers to excavate in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and company codes of practice to provide access to our network in readiness for all aspects of jointing work.

• Be in possession of a full UK driving licence (essential) with categories B+E (desirable);
• A customerfocused approach with the ability to communicate with internal and external customers
• Have experience and an understanding of utility records (essential);
• Hold a NRSWA (New Roads & Street Works Act) accreditation (essential);
• Be willing to work outside in all weathers (essential)
• Have experience excavating, backfilling and reinstating to Highways Authorities and Utilities Committees (HAUC) specifications (desirable);
