The GIS Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the GIS function for all onshore renewables projects.
Working with implemented standards and developing processes across the SPR Business for efficient management of spatial data to enable the business to develop and operate its windfarm assets effectively.
The role will involve providing mapping services, undertaking geospatial data analysis and developing programming solutions.What you'll be doing
_Your key responsibilities will be to:_
Develop and maintain the spatial data management system for our onshore renewables projects, assisting in maintaining and updating software packages, tools, licenses, spatial data, and metadata and developing data standards in line with the overall Quality Assurance systems.
Utilise ArcGIS for geospatial data creation, management, and the provision of controlled high-quality cartographic services to support all areas of the onshore business.
Work on the translation of various datasetsand execute complex queries for advanced geospatial data analysis.
Liaise with both internal and external clients to understand their requirements and support in the production of detailed work to strict deadlines.
_What you'll bring_
We will look for you to hold a recognised degree in GIS or equivalent demonstrable professional experience and have a specialist knowledge of the ArcGIS platform.
This will include a working knowledge of the ArcGIS desktop suite including extensions such as Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst, experience of creating, sharing and updating web maps and apps through ArcGIS Online and experience of ArcGIS Field Maps.
You will also have highly developed digital cartographic and map production skills and the ability to develop and maintain detailed databases.
We will also look for you to have a knowledge and understanding of scaling issues and positional accuracy in line with governmental standards and have experience with AutoCAD and translating between GIS and CAD.
