Job Purpose

We seek a focused individual to join our dynamic team currently delivering installation, maintenance, and product support services for High Voltage (HV) assets across the South of England and UK.

Job Context

You will work as part of a highly skilled Engineering division supporting all aspects of HV services to our clients and customers.

As part of our team you will get to support your peers in the delivery of HV engineering, given extensive training as we develop your skills and knowledge, leading you into a career within the HV utilities sector.

Job Dimensions

The programme will take approximately 2 years to complete and is centred on work-based learning in addition to training linked directly to our industry.

Where you will gain valuable on the job experience, skills, and an industry recognised qualification.

The role is home based with travel to site works included within your working day.

Travel The core hours are 07:30 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday, 07:30 am to 12:00 Friday, depending on operational work and site requirements additional hours will be required.

Opportunities to support additional overtime and hands on experience through evenings and weekends will also be available.

Key Accountabilities
These will include having the drive and determination to learn through the involvement in the following areas:

• Installation, refurbishment, maintenance of HV equipment
• Interpret electrical drawings and records.
• Carry out electrical testing and fault finding.
• Carry out mechanical modifications and repairs.
• Complete assessment and completion reports.
• Substation installation, testing and commissioning.
• Installation and modification of AC/DC wiring and earthing.
• Completing RAMS, job packs, test certificates and reports.
• Facilitate a safe working environment during high / low voltage working.
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of Lucy Electric and its customers.
• Maintain authorisations in accordance with legislative our safety procedures and industry best practice.
• Liaise closely with team to understand and manage priorities.
• Attend training and continuous development opportunities as required.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• Full driver's License

Desirable:

• Studies in engineering or electricity at work, and experience in effective services to customers.
• Knowledge of H&S and its practical implications.
• Computer literate skilled in MS office
