Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for our client in Tipton for a Permanent Nights Warehouse Operative.


Hours of work:
Monday - Thursday

18:00 - 6:00

Pay

£14.30 per hour - £29,744 per annum

Description and key responsibilities as a Nights Warehouse Operative:
To assist in the day to day Warehouse Operation.

To be flexible in your approach to the various tasks involved from receiving of goods, stock allocation, picking, finished goods and dispatch functions.

To help control stock accuracy, integrity, security and traceability. To work as a team to complete all warehouse tasks on a daily basis. To work as a team to promote a safe working environment. To have a pro-active approach to Food Safety

  • Prepare and complete warehouse orders according to schedules.
  • Receiving and processing of all warehouse products (picking, unloading, labelling and storage)
  • Perform warehouse inventory checks and keep standards high for audits.
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and help to optimize space utilization.
  • Ensure all tasks within your area of responsibility are completed on a daily basis.
  • Ensure tasks executed are timely and accurate
  • Ensure accuracy of all data to and from production/warehouse
  • Ensure full traceability of stock at all times
  • Report to line managers any stock discrepancies daily
  • To help out in other areas of the warehouse as per business needs.
  • Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment.
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours.
  • To work as part of the team and be a contributor, where possible, to suggest, support and innovate new ideas.
  • To work in an effective manner by performing duties in such a way that may add value to the product, operation or company.
Qualifications and skills required as a Nights Warehouse Operative

  • Previous warehouse experience in the U.K
  • FLT advantageous but not essential
  • Working within a food environment
  • Excellent levels of written and communicative English
  • Legal rights to work in the U.K
