We are recruiting for a Patient Safety CCTV Support Officer to join our team at Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust.

NSFT is a large mental health trust employing staff in multiple locations across Norfolk and Suffolk. We provide mental health and learning disability services in the community and inpatient settings.

We are looking for someone to support the Trust by providing a range of evidence and documents to support clinical teams to triangulate patient safety events.


Working closely with the Patient Safety CCTV Support Officer who will provide day to day supervision, you will be able to use multiple software packages including CCTV and body worn camera programs to collate the information requested.


Other requests from external agencies such as the Police, Councils and internal requests from department e.g Legal Services or Safeguarding will also be collated and provided in a timely manner.


Main duties of the job:

We are looking for a highly motivated professional to drive for increased safety and security by:

  • Having ability to provide overall operations and monitoring of CCTV system installed across the organisation.
  • Using the CCTV equipment provide footage to various recipients
  • To use clinical and risk software to provide documentation to staff
  • Using the CCTV equipment as instructed to provide cloaking of CCTV imagery to allow sharing of footage in a confidential manner.
  • Monitoring the CCTV Request inbox and respond accordingly.
  • Demonstrating competence in the use of CCTV viewing software to access the Trust CCTV.
  • As and when directed, travelling between Trust sites as required to access larger CCTV footage requests.
  • Performing all required system and other checks or duties given, and handle and document enquiries and escalate as required.
  • Operating the CCTV system in accordance with legislation
  • Supporting and taking direction from the Patient Safety CCTV Support Officer in the delivery of the organisational priorities
  • Engaging, supporting and providing required evidence/footage to clinical teams
  • Contributing as required to investigations relevant to area of expertise as directed
